We are pleased to announce Florida Gulf Bank’s newest fraud management solu­tion.

 

The American Bankers Association has reported that the number of attempted check fraud cases has doubled in the past few years - and it continues to rise yearly. For your protection, we are now able to offer a fraud detection tool called Positive Pay. This is an online service that matches the account number, check number and dollar amount of each check presented against a list of checks authorized by you. This allows you to identify any potential unauthorized transactions before payment is made and greatly reduces the chance of check fraud against your account.

 

Features of this new tool include:

 

  • Upload your checks issued by importing a file or entering check information individually
  • Receive email notification if there are any ex­ception items to review
  • Hyperlink allows you to view an image of any exception items prior to making a decision. This allows you to verify if a check has been altered or forged, or if it’s a proper payable item.
  • Decision exception items through our Business Online Banking system
